Fanfare’s staff has nearly 60 years of event experience. We KNOW events. When you call and speak to someone at Fanfare, you are speaking with someone who loves live events, goes to live events as a fan, and has an understanding of what makes an experience great. We thought it would be fun to share our favorite event experiences.
“I have so many favorites but if I had to choose just one I would say that going to Desert Trip in Palm Desert, California last year was a favorite. It was so memorable because I took my son Jake and it was his first music festival. It was nice to be able to make those memories with him and the lineup was incredible.”
“I would say my one of my favorite events was the 2008 Ryder Cup. I am obnoxiously patriotic and the U.S. team was the underdog. They ended up winning and everyone broke out into USA chants. It was not your typical, quiet golf tournament where everyone golf clapped. People got really rowdy and excited. It was so much fun seeing everyone else as patriotic as I am.”
“I would have to say my favorite event was a Wiz Khalifa concert at Klipsch 5 years ago. I didn’t even want to go to the show but my friend just told me I was going and wouldn’t take no for an answer. It ended up being an awesome show but the highlight for me was that I met friend’s cousin Sam that night and now 5 years later we have been married for 2 years and are expecting our first child together.”
“While I was in college at IU there was a Harry Connick Jr. concert and halfway through the show he stopped singing and told everyone to ignore security and come to the front of the stage! It was so cool to rush up to the stage with everyone!”
“My dad and I have been Colts season ticket holders my whole life but the best Colts game I’ve ever seen was the 2006 AFC Championship when the Colts beat the New England Patriots. I’ll never forget when the Marlin Jackson interception clenched the game and we finally made it to the Super Bowl! That was the greatest sport moment ever. I went to that Super Bowl game too which was great but the AFC Championship will always be my favorite.
“I think one of my favorite experiences was taking my son to an Indianapolis Indians game this summer. This was his first baseball game and he was really excited but during the game he kept asking when they were going to be done so he could go on the field. It was just really special to take my son to his first baseball game and it is something I know I’ll never forget.”
“I have been a CollegeHumor fan since I was in high school. Last fall I saw two of my favorite CollegeHumor comedians, Jake and Amir, perform their podcast live in Michigan. The podcast is called “If I Were You” and it’s an advice podcast where they give a mix of real advice, share funny stories, and just make fun of the person asking for help. During the show they asked the audience if anyone had experience with something and I just said wooooo! The rest of the audience was silent and I was in the front row so they called on me and asked me to share my story. We had a full on conversation during the show, it was so surreal. After the show they were meeting with fans and I got a chance to hug them, talk to them more, and got my picture with them. I still can’t believe it happened. It was literally everything I could have dreamed would happen at a show.
